How does this work?

Nonprofit partners refer women emerging from sex trafficking, homelessness, justice involvement, substance use, and refugees to Designed For Joy for immediate, living wage work. We offer a safe place to be, practice trusting others, meals, job training, and a reminder of their worth.

We provide a day work program with cash paid at the end of each day for women needing emergency funds, and a 3-month program for those ready and in need of work experience.

Our 5,000 sq. foot production studio in Raleigh, North Carolina provides space for creating our gorgeous leather handbags, all handcrafted by our women, ensuring they receive living wages.
